Cityplus collaborated with PolyU this year to develop some street furniture that make changes to our city. The ideas we received from the design students impress us a lot, some of them redefine the usage of traditional street furniture, some of them grad the changing behaviors of people and provide insightful solution. We have picked some excellent works to be prototyped in our production line. They are in the final stage of fabrication at the moment! We are looking forward to seeing these prototyping in PolyU Design Annual Show 2016.

Furniture Name : Loosen Fence

Designer : Lau Pui Hing Vivian, PolyU Design

Year : 2016

Objective : Fence is originally designed to stop citizens. In the park, the fence stops citizens enjoy the green area. However it is a waste of space as the green area is only for view. Loosen allows citizens to be in the green space and provides more space to the park without disturbing the green area that needs protection.
